How often should I change my cambelt?
Most vehicle manufacturers recommend a cambelt change every 40,000 to 60,000 miles or roughly every 5 years. If you don’t change your cambelt when it’s due, you run the risk of causing a great deal of damage to your car’s engine – a snapped cambelt can cause expensive and serious damage.

What happens if my cambelt snaps?
It depends on what kind of engine you have; in an interference-type engine, serious, expensive damage can be caused by a snapped cambelt, in a non-interference engine, no damage occurs and a new belt can just be popped on.
